Green Related Construction:
The Villages at Santa Fe Springs (Emerald Impact for Energy Inspectors and Comstock Homes)
On a 500-home Multifamily EnergyStar/BuilditGreen residential project, Title 24 verification, consulting and training for superintendents and trades. Performed Tight Duct Testing, Duct Design Verification, Thermal Bypass training and inspections, and Quality Insulation Installation (QII) training and inspection.
The Kirby Home in Arroyo Grande, CA (Emerald Impact - Energy Efficiency Project Manager)
Managing EnergyStar/New Solar Homes Program(NSHP) planning, training and inspections. Requires recalculation and verification of Title-24 model, adding Tight Duct Test, QII/Thermal Bypass, Air Infiltration and other efficiency measures to the energy model. Coordination of project with EnergyStar, PG&E NSHP Programs.
El Amigo Home, Del Mar, CA (Emerald Impact - LEED Project Manager)
LEED/EnergyStar project - features sustainable building measures like Structural Insulated Panels (SIP), Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF), Thermal Bypass, QII, and solar power generation. Project management and reporting, coordination of trades and consultants.
King Fahd Soccer Stadium, Saudi Arabia (Staefa Control System – Siemens)
Fahd Soccer Stadium. Largest covered soccer stadium in the world. $80M project - role: Energy Management Systems and Building Control Systems - HVAC, energy, security, and lighting controls. Commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
Energy Efficiency Project for Sempra Utilities – Southern California Gas and San Diego Gas and Electric: Supported an energy efficiency project that included installation of control systems and interior and exterior site lighting retrofits. Project included over 60 sites across Southern California; Approx $5M project. Savings of about 2.4 Million kWh/yr.
Site Planning, Construction and Agency Coordination of Wetland/Water Crossings for Sempra Utilities - San Diego Gas and Electric: Mission Control Facility - Managed design, bid process, and contractors during the construction phase.
Managed coordination with agencies, including mitigation of endangered/protected habitat and wetland/water crossing issues with Army Corps of Engineers, Regional Water Quality Control Board, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and California Fish and Game. Approx $2M project
Union Bank Campus, Irvine (Staefa Control System – Siemens)
Energy Management Systems and Building Control Systems - Programming and oversight – High-rise project: installation, testing and commissioning of sensor and control fields, HVAC and lighting control systems, zone controllers and central computer system. Management of peak energy usage using chiller management coupled with underground chilled water storage system.
Residential Construction Management for Owner-Builders
Preconstruction services and construction management for residential owner-builders, including project definition, design coordination, planning and interface with utilities and municipalities, estimation, scheduling. All homes were constructed from ‘green’, sustainable building materials.
Commercial Construction:
Great Western Bank
Project Manager - planning and execution of a $30M project. Build out: Datacenter, nationwide tenant improvement for 240 retail offices and network development - on schedule, under budget, high customer satisfaction. Managed 200 customer and subcontractor personnel.
Palomar Generation Center Site and Tenant Improvements for San Diego Gas and Electric: Managed definition, design, construction and closeout for work at a large LNG power generation facility. Conducted contractor bid process. $1M project.
Spirit Mountain Land Acquisition and Development – Railroad Flat, CA
80 Acres Solar PV Arrays, 2 wells and storage, and roads, comprising of clearing land, building roads, storm water management, infrastructure development, installing PV solar arrays and powerhouse components, managed crews and excavation companies on the jobsite and worked with county planner and engineer.
Rainbow Ranch Land Development – Mountain Ranch, CA
120 acres development on 220-acres in preparation for subdivision. Included clearing land, building roads, storm water management, and infrastructure development. Managed crews and excavation companies on the jobsite.
Dominican Republic, Moneball, Inc.
Supported design and installation of a lottery network. Included infrastructure for communications systems in an underdeveloped region.
Municipal/Institutional Construction:
Mira Costa Community College District Bond Program
Owner Rep, Construction and Relocation Management. Construction Bond Program. Supported Director of Facilities. Approx. $50M GC Project – three new buildings on two campuses. Specialized support: Oversight of high-tech installations, including Music Department studio and recording equipment, Art Department equipment, and cafeteria kitchen equipment.
Westwood Middle School
Project Engineering, Onsite Construction Management – represented owners. Poway Unified School District Bond Program. $24M Multi-Prime Project. Conducted construction meetings, coordinated architectural firms and contractors. Change orders, RFIs, submittals and closeout. Prolog and Microsoft Project Software.
Twin Peaks Middle School
